The Bakehouse is a brand-new pop-up experience in Killorglin, created by myself and my friend Josie O’Donnell of O’Donnell’s Bakery. Conveniently located on Mill Road, just through the arch next to St James’ Church, The Bakehouse promises to be your go-to destination for freshly baked goods, warm drinks, and festive cheer.
What’s Baking at The Bakehouse?
At The Bakehouse, Josie and I are baking fresh every day to bring you an irresistible selection of handmade treats. Here’s a taste of what’s on offer:
- Sweet Treats: Brownies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and scones—baked fresh daily.
- Christmas Delights: Gingerbread people, Christmas cookies, mince pies, and festive cupcakes.
- Christmas Cakes, Puddings, and Treat Boxes: Available to order for your Christmas at home or as thoughtful gifts for loved ones.
We also stock quality products from local producers
- Fresh Bread: A variety of loaves baked to perfection as well as Croissants, and danishes from Bread Culture Bakery in Rathmore, Co. Kerry.
- Savoury Snacks: Tasty sausage rolls to satisfy your savoury cravings from Hannah Mary’s in Tullig, Co. Kerry.
Pair your treat with a freshly brewed coffee, tea, or a steaming cup of hot chocolate for the ultimate indulgence.
Festive Fun for Kids
We’ve made The Bakehouse a magical place for families this Christmas. Kids can enjoy Christmas-themed colouring sheets, and when they hand in their completed masterpiece, they’ll receive a free treat—plus, their artwork will be proudly displayed on our wall!
Children can also write their Christmas wishes on ribbons to hang on the tree in our courtyard, adding to the festive decorations.
Comfortable and Cosy Courtyard
Our courtyard seating is covered and heated, so you can relax and enjoy your visit regardless of the weather. It’s the perfect spot to meet friends, enjoy a family outing, or simply treat yourself.
Opening Hours
We’re open now and will be baking daily through to early January. Here are our hours:
- Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 9am – 5pm
- Sunday: 10am – 3pm
- Tuesday and Wednesday: Closed
